Description
Are you a born entertainer?! Are you willing and able to lead from the front? EAC Activity Camps organise high quality multi-activity Easter & Summer Camps for young people aged 5-16 years, aiming to provide an enjoyable holiday in a safe and caring environment. EAC Camps are located at superb venues throughout the UK. We require confident, outgoing and responsible individuals to lead tours and excursions, as well as other activities such as discos, talent shows and quiz nights. Group Leaders work for 42 hours per week over 6 days and this can include mornings, afternoons and evenings.
You will be expected to lead excursions both in the local area and further afield and act as a "tour guide" for each trip. In addition, you will be expected to partake in and lead more general activities, such as quizzes, talent shows, international evenings, treasure hunts and sports on a daily basis and therefore you must be a confident leader, willing to instruct groups of teenagers within each of these contexts.
The roles are hard work, but are very rewarding and provide the oportunity to further your experience in working with young people.
Requirements
NVQ 3 in Childcare is ESSENTIAL or equivalent (Qualified Teacher for example).
We invite applications from people with previous experience of working in a similar or related role, with a proven ability to communicate with young people and a friendly, approachable and responsible nature.
As this is an EFL Summer School environment, candidates must be able to speak English to native level.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced CRB check. Applicants from overseas MUST provide a full, recent police check from their home country.
