Description
The role involves driving, guiding and helping out in the chalets. On the driving front it will involve some driving of clients in resort to & from the ski lifts and also driving clients to and from Geneva airport (an hour 15 minutes from resort). You will also be responsible for keeping the vehicle clean and filled with diesel. Candidates must be considerate, confident but careful drivers (vehicles are 8 seat VW mini-buses). The ski guiding element involves taking intermediate level skiers/boarders out on the slopes & guiding them round the Portes Du Soleil ski area so that the guests can explore the area without worrying about having enough time to get back before lifts close and enjoy a day when they don't have to be constantly looking at the map. Candidates must be competent skiers able to ski black run level in a controlled manner, have good leadership skills & enjoy meeting new people and being sociable, basically have some good "chat" for the chairlifts! In terms of helping out in the chalets, the role will involve various tasks such as setting the fire, stocking up the honesty bar, setting the table and helping serve and wash up dinner which all requires being able to work as part of a team and have an easy going nature. Requirements
Candidates must be over 23 for insurance reasons, have a full, current driving licence, be a proficient skier, preferably have some experience in group management/leadership.
