www.skiboound.co.uk Part of the TUI Travel Group, SkiBound is a tour operator which has been specialising in school and adult group travel for over 26 years. As well as our locally run hotels, SkiBound operate ClubHotels that are exclusive properties run by English speaking staff. Our ClubHotels offer a relaxed and social atmosphere to ensure that groups receive a friendly, fun, value for money holiday. The ClubHotels are situated in various resorts across the French Alps. All our resorts offer something different, from traditional French charm to lively and well established. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the hotels within your responsibility are maintained in good, safe working order. We are currently recruiting for our standby list for this season to start immediately through until the end of April.
What we are looking for
· Must have a British/EU passport and National Insurance card.· Hold a valid European Health Insurance Card.· Have a UK/Irish bank account.· Basic experience in some of the roles above would be advantageous but are not essential.· Previous experience in carpentry, plumbing and/or electrical
Responsibilities
· Day to day repairs of any items as reported by clients or members of hotel staff.· To carry out a daily tour of the hotel, looking for possible areas that require attention.· Simple carpentry, e.g. make repairs to furniture and hotel fittings.· Basic electrics e.g. test and repair fuses, to check all fittings, ensuring no live supply, before repairing or changing sockets, switches or light fittings.· Simple plumbing, e.g. clean blocked wastes, toilets, basins etc by clearing traps, rodding or removing obstacles. Changing tap washers and repairing toilet mechanisms will also be required.· To report any problems considered beyond your ability, to the Maintenance Manager.· To take the main responsibility for clearing snow and ice around the hotel.
