A typical day for a volunteer on this project will involve helping a variety of different patients with varying physio needs. Typical activities include:Taking patients through physical exercises that will assist their rehabilitation. Assisting patients on wheel chairs. Shadowing doctors on duty to treat patients. Massaging muscle-related injuries.Administration help. Any other duty as assigned by the medical personnel on duty.
As an intern on this project it isimportant to remain flexible and open-minded, with motivation toassist in other areas of the hospital if necessary.
The location of thisproject is mainly Koforidua, where the central hospital is the premier bone specialist in Ghana; however, there are placements available in Accra and other locations.
