Brighton is home to many events over the course of the year, many of which have loads of work opportunities for students. Every spring the whole of Brighton is overrun by The Great Escape festival. As one of the UK's leading new music festival, across numerous venues, every it year it is looking for volunteers in exchange for free access to it's gigs.

Just up the road from Brighton is Goodwood, home to big events such as the Goodwood Horse Racing Festival , Festival of Speed &; Goodwood Revival motorsports events. All of these events recruit hundreds of temporary hospitality staff for anything from a single day to a complete week.

Retail Jobs

Whilst Brighton has quite the reputation for shopping, the Churchill Centre and The Lanes may to always be the best place to look for employment. Looking away from the coast to areas such as the Pavilion Centre Retail Park can prove to be a useful alternative, with B&Q, Comet, Halfords and Sainsbury's all looking for part time employees throughout the year.

Stadium Jobs

Sporting venues are often on the look out for part-time staff to work at event days throughout the year. There are a number of sporting venues in the Brighton and Hove area that are worth considering including; Amex Stadium; Coral Brighton & Hove Greyhound Stadium; Falmer Stadium and the Brighton and Hove Cricket Club.

Summer Jobs

The summer season is a key time for Brighton, as tourists flood to the coast to enjoy the sun, sea and fish & chips. As you may have guessed this a fruitful season for students looking for part time work, working at the world famous Palace Pier, Sea-Life Centre, or one of the many beach front tourist attractions and shops.
