My client is a law firm looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to assist with all accounting and bookkeeping duties within the firm. Reporting to the Practice Manager and Directors you will maintain bookkeeping and accounts using the Firm’s accountancy package.

Key skills required:

* Knowledge of the Solicitors’ accounts rules and accounts experience is essential

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Strong word processing

* Good Microsoft and Excel Skills

What the role will include:

* Banking, including reconciliation in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Rules

* Preparing cheques and processing bank transfers

* Controlling designated client deposit accounts

* Overseeing the administration of the purchase ledger

* Assisting with credit control and processing of invoices

* Maintaining and administering the Firm’s petty cash system

You will undertake specific training when required and be responsible for your self-development, whilst performing other duties within the role.
