Castle Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a part-time Accounts Assistant to work for a leading manufacturer in the Scarborough area. This will initially be a 14-month contract to cover a maternity leave and the successful candidate will work circa 25 hours per week.

You will be working in a small finance team, reporting into the Finance Manager.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Managing the purchase ledger

* Daily bank reconciliations

* Dealing with invoice queries and liaising with suppliers

* Assisting with monthly management accounts

* Monthly invoice finance reconciliations

* Managing petty cash and foreign currency

* Covering other departments when necessary

To be considered for this varied Accounts Assistant role, you will need the following experience/qualifications:

* Competent across Excel, Word & Outlook

* Advanced Excel would be desirable

* AAT Qualified or qualified by recent and relevant experience
