Admin/Finance Administrator

Are you an experienced Administrator ? Have you worked in the finance sector? If so we would love to hear from you.

Our client is looking for an experienced Administrator to start a temporary assignment on 2nd January.

Main duties of the role-


Answer all calls and redirect as necessary.


Note in diary – hard copy

Complete booking form in word

Check any additional requirements

Email form to booker

Once confirmation received, raise deposit invoice in excel

Enter on Caretakers excel spreadsheet

After event raise final/balance invoice


Allocate and bank all incoming cheques

Open invoice control record spreadsheet

Find correct invoice number

Complete information as necessary:

Cheque number

Date banked

Paying in book number

Remove “unpaid” from column

Complete paying in book

Bank cheques/cash on a Tuesday

Write cheques for incoming invoices

Stamp invoice

Complete date received

Scan if utility invoice

Save in Team Site/PDF invoices

Pass for authorisation

When authorised

Open incoming invoices spreadsheet

Complete information as necessary

If supplier has issued more than one invoice, only issue one cheque but allocate a voucher number to each invoice, add together and issue cheque for total amount.

Issue monthly/quarterly/yearly invoices


Enter information on BACAS system (dedicated burial system) on which training will be given.


Preparing agendas for meetings

Photocopying and sending out as required

Filing and archiving
