The Client
Acorn is recruiting on behalf of our client, a market leader within their field who have had significant growth over the past few years and recently moved to a new site with great expansion plans. They are looking for a permanent Administrator to join their expanding purchasing department.
The Role
The candidate will be primarily responsible for the company's purchasing processes, general administration and for supporting the Office Manager.
The job will involve supporting the Office Manager in their role, who will be also be their
line manager.
Key Duties:
* Placing weekly / ad-hock purchase orders with suppliers
* Processing purchase orders, matching up with relevant supporting paperwork
* Checking supplier statements
* Data entry
* Processing supplier invoices, checking all quantities, pricing, payment terms
* Scheduling for payment
* Housekeeping of supplier account
* End of month payment run
* Answering phone calls
* Filing
* Matching bank statements
* General administration
The candidate will play a key role within the Office Management team and a willingness to work flexibly is required. The role will involve liaising with both customers and suppliers as well as coordinating within the various internal departments. The candidate will need to have a friendly and personable approach as well as being well-organised and highly motivated. The fast-growing nature of the business means that the candidate should be capable of working under pressure with good attention to detail.
The candidate will work closely with all members of the company including the sales team, production engineers and shop-floor staff.
The Candidate
* Experience within a function to the purchasing department
* Ability to multi task and prioritise work load
* Able to build relationships with suppliers and customers
* Experience of using and ERP system, ideally SAP would be beneficial
* Familiar with Microsoft office including Excel.
