Description

A well-established and successful bakery company is seeking an enthusiastic Afternoon Receptionist to join their team. You will need to be personable, well-organised and enjoy working in a face-paced and exciting environment.

THE BUSINESS

A major European Food Manufacturing Group that operates on a 24/7 basis to supply bakery products across their vast international network. This business prides themselves on putting their staff at the heart of the brand, focusing on creating close working relationships across all levels.

THE ROLE

·Hours: 13:00 – 17:30hrs Monday to Friday

·Working closely with the Admin Manager to ensure and oversee the smooth running of the business on a day to day basis.

·Receiving telephone calls, taking messages and taking on the responsibilities of being the first point of contact for the business.

·Liaising with couriers, opening incoming mail and distributing the relevant information.

·Company contact for reporting fires or emergencies to the emergency services. Liaise with Fire Marshalls and issue fire registers when site evacuated, ensuring safety of all staff.

·Managing bookings for meeting rooms and events and offering administrative support when required.

·Maintain Budget and issue to manager, highlighting any over/under spend. Checking and approving admin invoices.

·Covering holidays and sick leave for the morning administrator.

·Reporting faults and issues with office machines to the maintenance team.

·Organising the electronic visitor’s book, issuing visitor badges and informing hosts of visitor’s arrival.

·Monthly stock takes and ordering of office stationary/equipment.

·Answering or referring inquiries to the relevant department.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We’re looking for a candidate that shows enthusiasm, initiative and excellent communication skills. However, the following basic skills would be an advantage –

·Excellent telephone manner, well-organised and good customer service.

·Familiar with MS Office and proficient IT skills.

·Great professionalism and can work well under pressure.

·Ability to be flexible with hours, will need to be able to cover holidays and sick leave for other members of staff.

·Familiarity with office equipment such as photocopiers, printers and fax machines would be a bonus.

·An ability to work efficiently and enthusiastically both as part of a team and individually.
