Are you an experienced Cleaner? Do you consider yourself to have great attention to detail and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Margate?

We have a fixed term Domestic Assistant role available within QEQM Hospital, Margate. This role is ideal for someone with good knowledge of what makes a safe and clean environment and is reliable, enthusiastic and a good communicator.

Role: Domestic Assistant (Cleaner)

Location: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital, Ramsgate Rd, Margate CT9 4AN

Rate: £12.45ph (Rate enhancement on Bank Holidays up to £22.90ph)

Contract length: 6 months initially with the view to extend based on performance

Shift Patterns: Saturday & Sundays 15.00 - 23.00

Start: Dependent upon the passing of compliance checks (one week)

Responsibilities:

Following the cleaning schedule accurately
Completing appropriate paperwork relating to cleaning duties
Replenishing hygiene products such as toilet roll and soap
Cleaning kitchen and bathroom areas
Cleaning clinical and non clinical areas
Safely carrying out cleaning duties whilst maintaining PPE and social distancing guidance
Liaising with management and making them aware of any issuesEssential requirements:

Strong verbal communication skills
Ability to lift light to medium items, bend and walk at a distance in order to carry out basic cleaning duties
Eagerness to conduct any required training for the role
Ability to provide all documentation for compliance checks including: Right to work in the UK, Proof of address and references
Be willing to undergo a DBS checkDesirable requirements:

Previous experience in a Cleaning or Domestic Assistant role
Knowledge of the NHS and how a Hospital operates internallyBenefits:
