Multi Activity Instructors Summer Camp 2022
High Adventure are running a summer camp based in Staffordshire. We have a long history of delivering high quality outdoor activity programmes to Primary and Secondary schools from across the UK. Activities include:
High Ropes
Climbing
Bushcraft
Navigation Exercises
Team Building Exercises
Archery
Indoor caving
We are looking for talented and passionate multi-activity instructors to be a vital part our summer camp team. These roles are all on a residential camping live-in basis, working Monday to Friday each week.
The role is ideal for aspiring outdoor instructors or anyone with a genuine passion for the outdoors, who would also like to gain valuable experience working with children. Working on our summer camps is the best way into our full time highly successful and popular trainee instructor scheme which runs from November every year at our main site in North Yorkshire. The scheme provides aspiring instructors with the relevant training and qualifications to further them exponentially in the outdoor education industry.
We will provide full training in each of our on-site activities plus in-house first aid training prior to being in charge of groups.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Working closely with Camp Managers to ensure service delivery
Setting up, managing and running activity sessions
Managing equipment
Limited domestic duties
Location: Kibblestone International Scout Camp, Kibblestone Road, Oulton, ST15 8UJ.
Contract dates: Monday 23rd May – Friday 1st July (including 2 weeks training). We will then offer an extended contract to around 10 people running until Friday 8th July to pack away the camp.
Benefits:
£325 per week; a £40 deduction for meals provided Mon - Fri will be made each week 1st SEASONAIRE
£350 per week; a £40 deduction for meals provided Mon - Fri will be made each week 2nd SEASONAIRE
£375 per week; a £40 deduction for meals provided Mon - Fri will be made each week 3rd SEASONAIRE
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with groups and/or skills in one or more areas of outdoor activities.
If you can handle living in a tent for the length of the contract through good weather and bad whilst still turning up for work happy and enthusiastic every day, then you are the right person for this job!
