Part time Payroller

My friendly and well respected client, based in the Kendal area, are currently recruiting for a Part Time Payroller to join their team on a permanent basis, due to the retirement of a longstanding member of staff.

The client is offering a generous salary of up to £21,500 per annum pro rata for the successful candidate, and is open to a candidate working either 4 days per week, or the equivalent 30 hours over 5 days. The business offer statutory holidays, however there is the option of adding one extra week by slightly reducing the salary down.

The successful candidates roles and responsibilities will include the following:

- Processing payrolls weekly ,fortnightly, four weekly and monthly
- Dealing with RTI submissions to HMRC
- Processing payroll information using Sage Payroll
- Dealing with and resolving various payroll queries
- Preparing payroll reports
- Processing SSP, SMP, PAYE, NI and AOE calculations
- Processing payslips
- Processing pensions whilst adhering to the Auto Enrolment legislation
- Client communications
- Ad hoc accounting duties

This role will suit someone who is flexible and able to work as part of a small and friendly team.
You will have excellent communication skills and ideally have a good working knowledge of Sage, however this is not essential and can be trained. Additional knowledge of bookkeeping or accounts would also be advantageous but not essential.
