Postgraduate/Trainee Mechanical Engineer


Up to £24k - with higher earning potential and progression

This is an exciting opportunity for a postgraduate to work for a well-established and reputable manufacturing company, based in Coventry.

The successful candidate will have an engineering qualification –HNC, HND, Apprenticeship or Degree and have the drive to start a prosperous career within the steel fabrication industry.

The role

• Committing to a full training programme and gain a professional understanding of the industry

• To work closely with company directors in all areas of work, including site surveys and quotations

• To be involved with CAD design and project running, this will also include cost control, monitoring and reporting to a high standard

• To work closely with new and existing customers on site and in different engineering areas as well as office based

• To comply with all quality and health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times

The person

• The successful candidate will have an engineering qualification –HNC, HND, Apprenticeship or Degree

• Precious experience in steel fabrication would be advantageous: either shop floor, or office based

• The drive to actively participate in your own development/training plan to ensure a comprehensive understanding of company workings and job specifics

• You will be able to present yourself professionally, be polite and punctual

• You must be driven and enthusiastic

• You must be confident and have the ability to build strong, professional relationships

• Have to ability to work under your own initiative and also work as part of a team
