One year contract for Specification Support on year contract.

Our client an European leader in the field of sanitary products, operates as an integrated group with a very strong local presence in most European countries, providing unique added value when it comes to sanitary technology and bathroom ceramics.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent product design orientated individual to join our specification support department and provide customer support matching their needs to the appropriate products and bathroom designs. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing customer responses.

As a specification support intern, you will work with our customer base and our bathroom sales force in the creation of documentation to support the specification and subsequent sale of bathroom products, from contractors through to developers and architects.

This internship will help you acquire practical and transferable customer relationship skills and develop an understanding of how to interpret customer needs with tangible products and designs. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in specification design and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

What will you do…

• Support customers and the external and internal teams by providing technical support on bathroom products

• Liaising with specifiers, developers and merchants to deliver comparable product offerings from the company’s range of bathroom products

• Creation of both technical product documentation and visual bathroom aides via Virtual Worlds

• Support the specification support team in daily administrative tasks

• Ensure all designs comply in all respects with the relevant British Standard Code of Practice and current Building regulations

• Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)

• Integral to the creation of product specification documentation, i.e. N13’s

Requirements

• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive

• Basic understanding of different customer types (Developer, Architect, Contractor)

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with good telephone manner

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office

• Organised and methodical with a keen key for detail

• Positive approach to team working

• Graduate in Product Design, Design or Engineering related degree
