Description

Our client is growing exponentially and are seeking a number of people to join their team over the next 6-12 months or so. They are looking for a student/graduate Co-ordinator who is fluent in Mandarin and who will be responsible for liaising directly with a range of prestige UK based boarding schools and universities, as well as with graduates/students, their families in China, and host families in the UK to ensure the students' individual welfare, well-being and personal development is maintained consistently of the highest quality.

Our client assists foreign students travelling from China to the UK for short & long-term educational attendance at schools and universities, in addition they also organise a range of school/university short-term study placements, provide full UK welfare guardianship, as well as summer camps.

Situated in state-of-the-art offices near Newport, you will be reporting directly to the Company Director and you will have opportunities to develop a significant range of personal skills via continual professional development (CPD) options as the company continues to grow.

Suitable candidates must be fluent in Mandarin, possess excellent organisation skills to consistently provide a first-class welfare, guardianship and support service to graduates, students and pupils as well as their families.

Key Responsibilities of the Student/Graduate Co-ordinator:

* Communicate with parents to support and ensure graduates, students and pupils academic, emotional and pastoral care needs;

* Manage and maintain a good working relationship with host families in the UK;

* Manage students school holidays and weekend travel/logistical arrangements in a timely and accurately, including transportation, accommodation, activities etc;

* Liaise with boarding school and universities to understand student's academic, emotional and social development and compile student's school reports accordingly;

Experience & Personal Competencies of the Student/Graduate Co-ordinator:

* Possess excellent personal organisation and attention to detail are essential competencies,

* A former or current background in either student welfare, student support, PA, Secretarial, Legal, education or support services - will be an advantage although not essential;

* Excellent English/Mandarin communication skills are essential - verbally and in writing;

* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task;

* Good Microsoft Office skills (especially Word and Excel);

* Possess a good understanding of the Chinese culture.
